The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Section 302, establishes a list of Extremely Hazardous Substances (EHS). If such a substance is present at a facility in an amount equal to or greater than its threshold planning quantity (TPQ), then the facility must comply with the emergency planning requirements of EPCRA.

This list comprises Appendices A and B in 40 CFR Part 355. It is available for download or searching as part of EPA's Consolidated List of Lists, which covers other sections of EPCRA as well as the Clean Air Act (CAA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
